Greetings, Friends of Vallejo Juneteenth,
Although the African American Family Reunion Committee was not able to have Vallejo's Annual Juneteenth Celebration in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19 and our responsibility for community safety as we cautiously emerge from the pandemic, we still had reason to celebrate!
On Saturday June 19, 2021, the first year of Juneteenth National Independence Day, we premiered Vallejo's Inaugural Official Juneteenth Flag Raising ceremony which was held on June 1! The flag will fly during the entire month and is displayed at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park.
